The Summer Aid Application Opened April 1st!
First, complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA or WASFA to receive aid for summer 2025. Then, submit the summer aid application by May 15th for priority processing. For how to apply and more information about summer quarter aid and eligibility, visit the Summer Quarter info page.
Spring 2025 Aid disbursed on 3/27 - If you have not received your aid, check your Financial Aid Status page or contact us. Remember, if you are enrolled in fewer than 12 credits (undergraduate students) we will need to adjust your aid based on your enrollment for it to disburse. Please email us at uwtfa@uw.edu to notify us.
Were you admitted or returning in Spring 2025 and are now enrolled? Complete the 2024-2025 FAFSA or WASFA to receive aid for the quarter.

- Students planning to enroll Summer 2025 through Spring 2026 should complete one of these applications.
- The UW FAFSA/WASFA priority filing date of February 28, 2025 has passed, but it is not too late to submit your application for the 25-26 Academic Year. Do it today!
- Both applications require your 2023 tax and income information, as well as your asset values at the date of filing.
- Watch your UW e-mail for documents we may request.

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects the privacy of a student's education records. As a general rule, the UW will not release records or information to a third party (including a parent or spouse) without a student's written consent. To allow staff to discuss the status of financial aid with a parent or another person, admitted students must complete the online Release of Information Form.

UW Tacoma offers a variety of scholarships for students.
Upload Documents
We encourage documents be sent electronically via DocuSign. Students may use the Document Upload – Student link to submit documents. If a parent or third party wants to submit documents on behalf of the student, the student will initiate the Document Upload – Parent/Third Party link to allow them to do so.
Disbursements
Financial aid generally begins disbursing the week prior to the first day of the quarter.
Cost of Attendance
Your student cost of attendance is the amount of money we estimate you will need for tuition, books, and living expenses.
Emergency Aid
The Emergency Aid Program assists UW students by providing financial support when assistance is needed with unexpected, unavoidable, and unplanned expenses surrounding situations such as accidents, illness, fire/water damage, or a need for emergency housing and food.
