FINANCIAL WELLNESS & MARKETS LAB - MLG 322
The Financial Wellness & Markets Lab, and the Center for Financial Wellness is equipped with a stock ticker showing real time financial data, a world clock, and several Bloomberg Terminals. Bloomberg is the world’s leading platform for global business and finance news, data, analytical tools and research.
This Bloomberg Finance Lab integrates experiential learning into our curriculum:
- Bridges the gap between academia and practice with hands-on learning
- Brings theory to life with live market data. Can simulate the day-day work of investment professionals.
- Enhances research with more data/ideas
- Can be integrated into the study of accounting, finance, economics, management marketing, real estate or supply chain
Provides students an edge with recruitment:
- Bolsters student resumes with Bloomberg experience or perhaps in the future a Bloomberg Certification
- Enhances student performance and knowledge base in internships

Access Instructions for Students:
Make sure your Husky card is activated to allow you the access to MLG 322. Then, go to https://www.tacoma.uw.edu/uuf/25live, then click into 25Live System using your UW netID and password, and finally on the Search Locations box enter MLG 322. During unreserved hours of the lab, you can use your Husky card to tab on the card reader by the MLG 322 glass door to access the lab and use one of the four Bloomberg terminals. You need to log in one of the desktop computers at the back of the lab just as how you log in a library computer. Once you log in the computer, click the Bloomberg icon (either on desktop or in the taskbar) to launch Bloomberg. If you don’t have a Bloomberg account, you need to register one using an email address. You have to wait if all the Bloomberg terminals are occupied.
