Help us reimagine a new campus space and convenience store in TPS
With the opening of Milgard Hall and recent campus moves, the ground floor of Tacoma Paper & Stationery (TPS) has become an underutilized space. The university is looking at ways to reimagine that space to include an expanded convenience store and a more comfortable "living room" type space where the campus community can engage or relax.
Over the next month, we are looking for input from students, faculty and staff to help shape this space. It is especially critical that we hear from students. What you would like to see? What would encourage you to take advantage of this space? How can the convenience store be a better resource for you?
There are several opportunities to provide feedback:
- Complete the online survey (closes May 19)
- Stop by an in-person poster session on the TPS ground floor
- Tuesday, April 25 from 11 am - 1 pm
- Wednesday, April 26 from 4 - 6:30 pm
- Posters will also be available for viewing in TPS-G, WCG atrium and the Dawg House lounge after these sessions.
After input is received, final plans will be drawn up over the summer and construction is expected to start this fall with an estimated completion during Winter quarter 2024. For more information about this project and to track its progress, you can visit the Reimagining TPS Ground project website.
