Building Lasting Bridges Between University and Community
The Office of Community Partnerships (OCP) at UW Tacoma is dedicated to fostering transformative relationships between the university and the broader community. Rooted in a shared history of engagement, we strive to create collaborative partnerships that enable all participants to achieve more together than they could alone. Guided by our strategic plan, we ensure that these partnerships are supported by essential infrastructure, including organizational processes, communication channels, staffing, and funding.
OCP is committed to:
- Supporting campus events that promote community-engaged partnerships.
- Building and strengthening relationships by facilitating connections between UW Tacoma faculty, staff, and community members.
- Assisting with introductions and fostering meaningful collaborations.
- Exploring innovative opportunities for partnership.
- Maintaining the Community Engagement Data Portal to track and assess our collective impact.
Through these efforts, we uphold UW Tacoma’s mission of engaged scholarship and community-centered initiatives, ensuring that our partnerships continue to thrive and make a lasting difference.
