Making a Difference
The Black Opportunity Fund was a tri-campus initiative established by campus leaders and community members to address the deep-seated issues of racial inequality that impact the Black community. As part of our urban serving mission, the University of Washington Tacoma is committed to confronting bias, transforming institutional policies, and improving campus climate for systemic change. The Black Opportunity Fund is a vital part of these social justice efforts. If you have an educational idea that enhances and celebrates Black culture, experience and community, we invite you to apply for funding. Together, we can continue this critical work and create a more equitable environment for all. The application process is open to all UW Tacoma campus members who support the goals of this special initiative.
