Opportunities to provide input on the UW presidential search
In June, the Board of Regents launched a search for the next President of the University of Washington. The Board of Regents and the Presidential Search Advisory Committee (PSAC) are currently seeking input from the University community to shape the leadership profile that PSAC will use to evaluate and rank candidates for the board’s consideration and selection.
You may have participated in searches for faculty members or deans that include an open opportunity to meet and evaluate finalists. Presidential searches are different. To find an excellent candidate, confidentiality is paramount.
That is why your input at this stage of the search is so crucial.
- What sort of tone do you hope a new president will set?
- Which characteristics might help a new president to succeed at the UW?
- Which successes and challenges might a new president be unaware of?
Listening sessions are taking place at all three campuses.
- Sign up today using this form for an opportunity to offer your comments at the listening session on Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 9 - 11 a.m. in Milgard Hall Room 110 on the UW Tacoma campus.
- To share your input, you can also complete this short survey, which is open until Oct. 12.
For more information, go to the FAQ and process sections of the search website. Thank you for interest and engagement with this important process.
