Integrated Global Honors pathways permit students within certain UW Tacoma Schools and Programs to substitute honors-approved major courses for Global Honors requirements.
For all pathways, Integrated Global Honors students must complete:
- One introductory course (TGH 203 or TGH 300)
- One core class (TGH 301, 302 or 303; this requirement varies based on your major)
- Research Methods (TGH 490)
- Capstone Thesis (TGH 494, 495, or 496)
- Research Symposium (TGH 491)

Eligibility
To be eligible for the Integrated Global Honors distinction, students must:
- have a minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA at the time of admission
- have a minimum of 45 credits at the time of admission
- maintain a minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA in all UW Tacoma coursework
- receive a 3.3 for their Global Honors capstone project
- present at the annual IIGE Global Engagement Conference
Other requirements vary by major. Graduates receive a certificate, pin and ivory cord, and are listed in the UW Tacoma Commencement program.
