WSU's Jenifer McIntyre gave testimony before the House Natural Resources Committee recently on work that she and UW Tacoma's Ed Kolodziej have done to identify what is killing coho salmon before they have a chance to spawn: a toxic substance, 6PPD-quinone, derived from a rubber tire preservative.
