RN-BSN Recommendation (Professional, Academic or Supervisor)

All RN-BSN applicants are required to submit a professional recommendation, an academic recommendation, and a supervisor recommendation as part of his/her application to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at the University of Washington Tacoma.

Professional Recommendations: Needs to be completed by someone that has worked with the applicant within the past two years in a paid or volunteer position in a professional health care setting and can attest to the applicant's professionalism. For current nursing students this can be an instructor. 

Academic Recommendations: Needs to be completed by someone that has instructed the applicant within the past two years and can attest to the applicant's ability to learn. For nurses out of school for two or more years this can be a nurse educator. 

Supervisor Recommendations: Needs to be completed by someone that has supervised the applicant within the past two years in a paid or volunteer position in a health care setting and can attest to the applicant's clinical abilities. For current nursing students this can be an instructor. 

Important note: applicants are required to submit the application and all supplemental materials, including recommendations, no later than March 15. Late applications will be reviewed only as space allows.
