For True Freshman & Running Start Students
SET Direct is designed for true freshmen (high school seniors or international first years) and running start students with at least a year of pre-requisites to complete. Running Start students who have completed our lower division pre-requisites through their community college should apply to SET through our standard admission pathway.

Applicants are automatically considered for the SET Direct Admission by following these steps:

If you have already submitted your freshman application to UW Tacoma and did not list a SET major on your application, but still wish to be considered, please send us an e-mail at SetAcademics@uw.edu.
