The vision of the UWTAC is to be the core of an active UW Tacoma alumni community providing opportunities for lasting engagement, collaboration and networking while supporting the mission, vision and goals of UW Tacoma.

Eligibility for Council Membership
Every graduate and recipient of a degree or certificate from UW Tacoma is eligible for membership in the UWTAC. Currently enrolled students of UW Tacoma are eligible to participate in specific student assigned roles on the Council. Alumni, students, former students, faculty, staff, friends, donors and their families are encouraged to take part in UWTAC activities and events.
Members and officers of the Council shall be accepted and chosen without discrimination against any person on the basis of age, ability, race, creed, national origin, gender, sexual orientation or religion.
UW Tacoma Service Committee
The UW Tacoma Alumni Council Service Committee will promote ongoing partnerships for the purpose of applying a collective vision for the benefit of UW Tacoma alumni, faculty, staff, and students. The goal will be to be to show community impact by engaging any and all members of the greater UW Tacoma family. The methods used will be to provide opportunities for involvement to include service projects, mentoring relationships, resource sharing, and community outreach.
UW Tacoma Advocacy Committee
The UW Tacoma Alumni Council Advocacy Committee aims to encourage work between alumni, multiple levels of government, and public bodies regarding the development of the university in support of higher education.
UW Tacoma Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee
UW Tacoma Alumni Council Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee aims to bring about the cultural, and potential ethical changes to increase access, attitude, choice, partnerships, communication, policy, and opportunities.
