Seed Library Kick-off Event
UWT is getting a seed library! Join us at the Seed Library Kick-off Event, where you can learn about using this resource to grow food and flowers, plant some seeds together, and take home supplies to grow your own herbs! This event will be held at the Giving Garden on Thursday, April 17 from 12 - 2 p.m.
Earth Day Celebration
Want to learn all about the green initiatives on campus and participate in a variety of activities shared by clubs and campus programs? Enjoy it all at this lively event with food, music, games, giveaways, and our thrift store pop-up! All this and much more will be waiting for you on Tuesday, April 22 on the Prairie Line Trail and MLG 110. Please come out and show your love for Mother Earth!
Spring Day of Caring
As part of this year’s Day of Caring, get your hands dirty at the Giving Garden! This year we’re working on updating our gravel pathway with pavers and permeable concrete. Join the effort and learn about sustainable materials from Zeolite Composites LLC.
South Sound Sustainability Expo
On Saturday, April 26, join this free, family-friendly expo on the UWT Prairie Line Trail, hosted by the City of Tacoma. Learn about local environmental sustainability and community resiliency from vendors, activities, and displays from regional organizations.
UWT Poetry Festival
On Monday, April 28, take part in the third annual UWT Poetry Festival! From 12:30 - 2 p.m. in the Jane Russel Commons, you can make magnetic poetry, contribute to a community poetry mural, and play games. From 5:30 - 8 p.m. in William Philip Hall, enjoy refreshments, hear from featured poetry readers and local literary partners, and even try out the open mic! Free and open to the public, registration is requested.
