Our Mission
Equity & Inclusion (E&I) at UW Tacoma helps to create equitable systems and structures and a culture of inclusion, trust and respect for members of the campus community.
In order to nurture such a culture, E&I strives to be intentional and deliberate in removing barriers that foster inequality and to create environments that enable all students, faculty and staff to bring their whole selves to the classroom and the workplace. In order to promote this outcome, E&I is guided by three strategic lenses for our campus to ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion is embedded in all that we do. It focuses on Access & Excellence, Inclusive Climates and Leveraging Diversity to Promote Excellence in the classroom.
