Immobilized Vehicles

Main Content

Vehicles are fitted with a vehicle immobilization device (boot) when they have four or more unpaid parking citations in late status. Transportation Services will not authorize removal of the boot until all fines listed on the Immobilization Statement (left on your vehicle when immobilized) are paid in full AND the webform below has been submitted.

STEP 1: Pay delinquent parking fines

  • Click the button below to visit the Parking Portal
  • Enter your license plate number to bring up a list of citations
  • At the top of the list of citations, you will see "YOUR CITATION(S) TOTAL" with your total balance amount - click the "Add to Basket" button next to it
  • Log-in or enter your email address and click "Pay Now"
  • Complete the check-out process

STEP 2: Submit a request to initiate removal of the boot

  • Complete the webform below once you have received your payment confirmation - make sure to upload a copy of your receipt that shows your License Plate #, Amount Paid, and the date!
  • Your request will be sent to Transportation Services and Campus Safety
  • Once your request is processed, the next available officer will remove the device

Financial Assistance

If you are not able to pay your balance, there are resources that can help. They are listed under "Financial Assistance" on our Citations page.

Please note that financial assistance options cannot be used to remove the boot on the same day it was installed - the only way to remove the boot immediately is to pay your fines in full.

Request to Remove Vehicle Boot

Please include evidence that you have paid the citations and immobilization fee listed on your invoice. Make sure that it shows the license plate number of the related vehicle, the amount paid, and the date. This will help expedite the removal of the immobilization device!
