Paying your housing charges on-time is important - and easy! You can view and pay your housing charges online through MyUW.
If you have any questions about your housing charges, please contact Housing & Residence Life at court17@uw.edu.
WAYS TO PAY
Financial Aid *
Aid resources that are applied directly to your student account are automatically applied against your Housing charges after your tuition and required fees have been paid in full. You may also receive a refund of surplus aid resources should you receive more aid than the total of your charges.
Out of Pocket
You can make a payment for your housing charges just how you would pay your tuition. For more information on payment options, please see the UW Tacoma Cashier’s Office website.
Veteran & Military Benefits
Payments for tuition and required fees are often paid directly from the government to UW. Payments for housing are often paid directly to individuals and then must be paid towards your student account (see Out of Pocket above).
Note: Please be mindful of your bank account at the beginning of each quarter. If you see a larger financial aid deposit than you are expecting, your housing charges may not have been deducted from your aid before being deposited. If this is the case, simply log in to MyUW and pay your housing charges with the funds you received. If you have questions regarding your financial aid package, please contact the the Office of Financial Aid.
Additional Tips
-
If making a payment for Housing and your tuition has not been paid yet, please send an email to court17@uw.edu to confirm that your payment is applied to the Housing charge you intended to provide payment for. Your student account will apply payments to charges with the highest priority – unpaid tuition always outranks unpaid housing.
- If you are unable to make a payment by the due date, please complete a Housing Appeal requesting a Payment Plan Modification by the due date so that we can work with you to determine the best plan of action (and avoid late fees!). Appeals that require a change of billing (custom billing schedule), may incur a $50 Appeal Processing Fee.
