Meet Summer!

Summer joined Global Honors in Autumn 2019 and is majoring in Biomedical Sciences.

"When I took a People to People trip between junior and senior year of high school, I learned that the world was not as different as my courses in school had made it out to be. Being pushed to understand different cultures gave me an appreciation for the world that I never had before. Since then, I have taken that mindset and applied it to my own reality. While I do want to work in a lab with my biomed degree, I will still have the opportunity to connect with people. Coming into any situation with an understanding that people are not that different will likely make a huge difference for me."

She expects Global Honors will give her "the freedom to think through problems in a creative and analytical way," as well as provide "a unique perspective on all aspects of my education."
