A Place for Creative Problem Solving
With the opening of Milgard Hall in late 2022, the Institute for Innovation and Global Engagement (IIGE) took on stewardship of the Bamford Innovation space, which includes a design lab (MLG211) and a flexible community collaboration space (MLG203) operated by the Global Innovation and Design (GID) Lab. These two spaces are intended to support campus and community activities focused on innovation, collaborative problem solving and design thinking. As a revenue-generating and donor-supported unit, the GID Lab is responsible for executing fee-based programs and space rentals (in collaboration with Conferences and Events) as well as ensuring the space is used as intended.
