Overview
In a world of ever changing technology and new gadgets, Samsung’s newest creation molds together a new line of innovation. When they announced their Galaxy foldable phone, consumer reactions were very mixed. Nevertheless, Samsung embraced experimentation and the occasional failure amidst a risk averse culture to deliver a product that would try and ease user experience and increase accessibility.
Process
- Ethnographic research with factory workers generated initial idea of a smartphone with the largest screen of all time
- The idea to combine a mini tablet and phone in one to eliminate the need for two products
Results/Outcome
Although their design has some work and improvements to be made, this innovative design to ease user experience is just the start to the future of technology.
