Alexa
Alexa is a sustainable urban development major that enjoys creative writing. She is familiar with MLA and APA citation styles. She is enthusiastic about connecting with and assisting students. She can help map goals for student writing. She is a mother and veteran originally from New York City. During her spare time Alexa loves to travel, watch movies and spend time with family.
Brigid
Brigid is a Law and Policy major with a focus on criminal justice. She has experience in research and reflection papers, creative writing, speeches and presentations, and legal case analysis. She is familiar with APA, MLA, and Chicago citations. In her free time she enjoys reading fantasy books, making art, writing fiction, and cooking.
Inanna
James
James holds a Masters in international studies, focusing on Chinese and Russian geopolitics. He also completed undergraduate degrees in literature and history at UWT, and is familiar with Chicago, MLA, and APA citation styles.
Josephine
Josephine is a Social Work grad student with a degree in Social Welfare. She has experience with research papers, personal narratives, reflections, speeches and presentations, creative writing, resumes, and citation (especially APA and MLA). She is familiar with several common assignments for social work, psychology, nursing, and education, and is excited to work on a variety of disciplines. She loves working with writers throughout the writing process, from brainstorming to final review. In her downtime she likes creative writing, painting, and playing video games.
Lindsay
Lindsay (perceived pronouns) is a junior majoring in Environmental Science with a particular interest in environmental remediation and engineering. She is most familiar with APA and CSE formatting. She creative writes in her free time and enjoys collaborating with students to help them express their point of view. Her interests outside of school include music of all genres, cheesy puns, playing with her cat Freddie Mercury, and trying to engineer the next new super-material in her kitchen microwave—with limited success.
Melaina
Melaina (she/her) is a Business Management major and Economics minor. She is familiar with Political Science, Intercultural Studies, and Psychology and is experienced in argumentative essays, research papers, narratives, and reflections. Melaina is skilled with MLA, APA, and Chicago citation styles. Her focus is to support students, so they leave tutoring appointments feeling confident in their writing and capable to succeed.

Hello! I'm Melissa, and I'm a senior in the BASW program. I enjoy personal and creative writing and have a strong background in research and argumentative papers. I'm most familiar with APA and MLA formats. In my free time, you can catch me playing the guitar or working on embroidery projects. Whether you're working on research papers, analytical pieces, or anything in between, I’m excited to help you reach your goals and make the writing process a little easier!
Nathalie
Nathalie is majoring in Business Management and minoring in Technical Communication. She has experience with argumentative essays, research papers, and personal narratives. She is most excited to connect with more students on campus and help them build their confidence as writers. Nathalie is an avid reader and loves to bake, gravel bike, and spend time with friends.
Zeth
Zeth is a Economics & Policy Analysis major, with a minor in Law & Policy. He is most familiar with argumentative essays and research papers in APA, MLA, or Chicago citation styles.

Kelvin Keown, MATESOL
Kelvin Keown enjoys learning and thinking about language(s). He has been an English teacher since 2006. Before joining the TLC in 2010, he was a Lecturer of English in Nagoya, Japan. Kelvin has also taught in intensive English programs at The University of Montana and the Monterey Institute of International Studies, where he earned a Master’s degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). His hobbies include playing guitar and orchestrating the fermentation of malted beverages.
