2023 Commencement Registration is a 2-Step Process

Before You Begin

  • Ensure you meet the requirements listed in the Eligibility section and have already applied to graduate
  • Application for Graduation is different from Commencement registration.
  • Read each steps!
  • Autumn (December) 2022 graduates - before your begin, please reach out to tcommenc@uw.edu to have your email updated. You will not be able to log in with your UW email. 

Step 1: Register to Attend Commencement

  • Create an Account: Begin by registering as a New User with Marching Order. 
    • Autumn (December) 2022 graduates - before your begin, please reach out to tcommenc@uw.edu to have your email updated. You will not be able to log in with your UW email. 
  • Tickets: Order your 10 complimentary guest tickets and email them to your guests.
  • Guest Accommodation: make sure to indicate if your guest needs accommodation.  
  • Record your Name: Record your name for the ceremony by May 15, 2023.

A confirmation email containing your access code and details to order your cap, gown and souvenir items online will be sent after you complete Step 1.

Step 2: Order your Cap, Gown and Souvenir Items by Friday, May 12, 2023

  • Email Confirmation: In the email confirmation, click on the link to begin your order.
  • Order and Pay: Include your current mailing address, and be prepared to pay online
  • Once your form has been submitted, you will not be able to make changes online.

Changes or refunds: Students are responsible for checking the accuracy of their order at the time of order.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Graduates MUST register to participate in Commencement no later than Friday, May 12, 2023.

Check with your department on the requirements for any school, college or departmental celebrations you are attending. Please be aware that schools, colleges and departments may have additional RSVP requirements for these celebrations.
