Upsilon Pi Epsilon is a national honor society that recognizes academic excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the Computing and Information Disciplines.
As a member you qualify for UPE scholarship awards and other benefits. For more information about the honor society, recognized by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the IEEE Computer Society (IEEE-CS), see the Upsilon Pi Epsilon website.
How to join
If you received an invitation to join, simply RSVP to the induction ceremony, as instructed and by the date provided in your invitation letter.
Induction ceremony
- RSVP is required for inductees and guests; it is not okay to just show up at the ceremony.
- Be on time. No one will be admitted to the ceremony after it has begun.
- To pay for your UPE stole, bring a check to "UWT" or cash on the day of induction.

Membership fee
The lifetime membership fee is $60, a one-time fee.
How to pay
You will be sent an email containing a link to a payment portal. If you have any issue accessing the portal, please contact Aubree Steffens (aubreer@uw.edu)
Graduation stole
As a member, you can purchase a UPE stole to wear at your graduation. To purchase a stole, please utilize the payment portal sent to your UW email.
