Disability Resources
TACID | TACID's (Tacoma Area Coalition of Individuals with Disabilities) mission is to promote the independence of individuals with disabilities through peer support, advocacy, and self-sufficiency programs. These programs include Wellness and Peer Support, Behavioral Health Ombuds, Information and Referral services and Volunteer opportunities.
DVR | Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) serves people with disabilities who want to work but face a substantial barrier to finding or keeping a job. They provide individualized employment services and counseling to people with disabilities as well as technical assistance and training to employers about the employment of people with disabilities.
Center for Independence | Center for Independence (CFI) serves as a resource for individuals with disabilities to fully access and participate in the community through outreach, advocacy, and independent living skills development. We serve senior citizens with senior-related disabilities as well.
Domestic Abuse Resources
YWCA | The YWCA transforms lives of domestic violence survivors through safety, healing, and empowerment. They provide safe shelter and comprehensive services for survivors of domestic violence regardless of gender, gender identity or expression, race or religious affiliation.

Crystal Judson Family Justice Center | The Crystal Judson Family Justice Center (FJC) serves the needs of domestic violence victims and their children by providing comprehensive victim services in one, central, safe location in downtown Tacoma.

Housing Resources
Associated Ministries | As part of the strategic plan to end homelessness in Pierce County and design a “best practice” model to prevent homelessness, As part of AP4H coordinated entry, a Housing Specialist will work one-on-one with individuals to enable stability. Services will include, but are not limited to, referrals to housing programs or independent housing and assistance/referrals in securing benefits. For rental assistance please call 211.

Housing For Success | The REACH Center is here to support you in finding a home and employment that will allow you to be self-sufficient. Through our Housing For Success (H4S) Program, in partnership with Vadis, Shared Housing Services, and Associated Ministries, we provide individualized case management support for youth ages 13-24 who are dealing with homelessness.

Tacoma Housing Authority | The primary mission of the Tacoma Housing Authority is to provide high quality housing and supportive services to persons and families in need.

Rainbow Center | Through education, advocacy, and celebration, the Rainbow Center expands resources and safe space for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and allied (LGBTQA) community.

OASIS | Their mission is to transform the lives of queer youth by creating a safe place to learn, connect, and thrive. Oasis envisions a world in which queer youth are valued in the community as strong, creative leaders.

Gender Alliance of the South Sound | A federal 501(c)(3) non-profit group dedicated to assisting the transgender community within the South Puget Sound area of Washington state. G.A.S.S. is open to all individuals who wish to learn more about their own unique inner self, and to meet and mingle with others who are likewise on this voyage of discovery.

Mental Health Resources
Comprehensive Life Resources | Our services include outpatient and community support services to adults, children and families, services to homeless individuals, housing services, foster care, and residential/inpatient services for both children and adults. We are committed to a holistic approach and philosophy that considers and embraces the whole person.
Sea Mar Community Behavioral Health Center | The Tacoma site provides mental-health and chemical-dependency services to children, youth and adults. Our site is state-licensed as a community mental-health agency and a certified chemical-dependency agency.

Second Cycle | Second Cycle provides community work space, bicycle maintenance classes, literature, youth bike programming, and repair service, as well as new and used bicycle components. Maintain accessibility by providing affordable pricing. Empowering others by learning how to fix and maintain their personal cycle.
