Transportation Services encourages all students and staff to add their vehicle information to their Parking Portal account, whether you purchase a parking permit or not. All students and staff automatically have a Parking Portal account - just log in with your UW NetID and password!
Reasons to set up your vehicle information
- Emailed reminders about unpaid citations - avoid late fees and missed opportunities to submit an appeal!
- Past due statements will be sent out if your vehicle is in danger of being immobilized - avoid being booted & additional fees
- Get notified if your vehicle is found to be damaged/broken into
It just takes a few minutes - all you need is your vehicle's make, model, and license plate number.
How to add your vehicle information to your Parking Portal account
Step 1: Log in to the Parking Portal by clicking on the link in the upper right-hand corner of the page (make sure to use your UW Net ID, do not create a Guest Account unless you are not affiliated with UW)
Step 2: Click on the "VEHICLES" link at the top of the screen
Step 3: Click "Add Vehicle" to add a new vehicle. If you have a vehicle on your account that has an outdated license plate number, you will need to add the new license plate number as if it was a new vehicle.
Step 4: Enter your vehicle information (making SURE your license plate number is entered correctly!) and click the "Next>>" button
That's it! Notices for your vehicle will now be sent to your UW email address. As always, please email us (transit@uw.edu) if you have any questions or need any assistance!
